After European consumers had been largely positive until March 2020, the corona crisis has affected virtually all countries to a greater or lesser extent.
Despite the fact that so far in Germany the pandemic went relatively moderate, the first weeks of “lockdown” changed our life completely. Soon after the first restrictions were lifted, it became clear that plant consumption was catching up very quickly. Obviously, the total shutdown of the tourism and traveling industry let consumers invest more in their own garden environment. Many online retailers have also benefited from the crisis, and a number of new plant suppliers have joined the ranks of the Internet. Regardless of the Corona crisis, we, RiPlant AG, opened our own plant shop in June for the direct marketing of sustainably grown houseplants. More information about this: www.riplant.me
