But for the first time ever, there is a really new type of poinsettia coming to the market: The brandnew Selecta one variety “Christmas Mouse” comes with mouse-ear-shaped leaves. In fact, the breeder mentioned that this was kind of an unplanned outcome of his breeding programme intending to attract younger consumers to the rather old fashioned poinsettia. Seeing the plant itself, the look of this variety immediately reminded us to the famous story of James Krüss telling us about the “Christmas Mouse”. Thus, end of 2018 I created together with the Selecta one marketing team the brand story of “Christmas Mouse”. My former colleague Sarah Batz, who is working also as hobby cartoonist, added fantastique and charming cartoons to it, which everybody really loves. 

By the way, this poinsettia variety is quite a tough indoor plant and perfectly suits to many households making people happy far beyond Christmas time even.
